Last year in July, me and my family had a short getaway to Port Dickson. We stayed there 1 night at Klana Beach Resort.I booked a superior room with seaview. The room was comfortable  and clean.One of the reasons why this resort was chosen was that they have Observatory Complex for sky watching which opened at night since it was a fasting month as there was not many staffs on duty.


This hotel is very near to the beach. There are also swimming pools at the resort. They are divided into female and male sections. Basically there is nothing much to do there except for the sky watching at the resort. We did check out at the beach; just had a walk and back to the resort as it was very hot in the afternoon.









In the evening after we had our dinner we had a walk at Grand Lexis Hibiscus.There was fire show on that day and it was quite nice just strolling around the resort.




After an evening walk, we went back to Klana beach resort and headed to the observatory tower for sky watching. There is strict dress code;proper clothing such as long pants and suitable shirts.The best is to keep your clothing decent.It was quite exciting for kids to have the opportunity to look through the telescopes and observe the planets out there. According to the person in charge, the best time to come is in April.
If you come in April, you can see other planets such as Jupiter, Venus, and Moon..
They will open from 5 pm in the evening if there are more staffs but on raya days there were only two.The navigator will stay up from midnight to 6 am to take pictures of the sky.

Before heading back to home, we stopped by other resorts such as the Avillion Admiral Cove and Grand Lexis and also other places such as the Museum in Lukut and Military Museum.
