Short Getaway to Ipoh, Perak
Posted by Lady Chong on Tuesday, June 14, 2016

This school holiday , we had a short trip to Perak and we booked a house via Airbnb. It was a 3 bedroom house with a modern touch but we were allowed to use 2 bedrooms as the other is used a store room.We stayed 2 nights there and it's a good location and easy access to most of the places of interests/attractions such as Qing Xing Ling Culture Village(15 minutes), Lost World of Tambun (20-25 minutes), Ipoh city as well as other attractions such as Gunung Lang(about 30 minutes). The house is well equipped but not for cooking but it's not a problem as we just stayed for a few days and it's easy to find local food in Ipoh town.
Though it was a short holiday, we enjoyed ourselves at The Lost World of Tambun and Qing Xing Ling Culture Village. It was our first time at Lost World of Tambun; I had been thinking for some time to go there. It was nice to spend a whole day at this theme park. There is tram ride to take you around the park and we opt to stop by at the Petting Zoo, which I think it's worthwhile to spend time feeding the birds at Bird's Paradise and also we had a boat ride at Swan Lake. Besides that ,a must try at the longest water trail. You can swim or just lying down at the poolside or just wait for a big splash from the container at the water theme park.
The next day, we went to Qing Xing Ling Culture Village, which was nearby the place where we stayed. There was a free bicycle ride at Qing Xing Ling Culture Village and food stalls inside there which you can find nasi lemak, air kacang or cendol or even rojak. Before we headed home, we stopped by at Gunung Lang and spent about less than an hour there. We had a boat ride which takes about few minutes to the other side of the park.
As much as I love to travel other countries, our country still has many places to visit which one can have short trip or simply just get away from the city ;)
